School Uniform

Longthorpe School has a consistent uniform across all year groups, with a logo that embodies and best represents the School’s ethos, values and learning approach. Our uniform also ensures all children gain a strong sense of belonging to the Longthorpe Family, as well as strengthening our identity within our community. Please ensure all clothing worn in school is clearly named.

What to Wear	PE Kit
Dark blue v-necked sweatshirt / cardigan (with school logo) Plain black trousers / shorts / skirts / pinafore dress White polo shirt (logo optional) White long / short sleeved blouse / shirt with tie (Year 6 only – compulsory) Plain socks / tights (black, white or navy blue) Plain black shoes (No heels / trainers / open toed shoes / crocs. No bright colours or logos) In the summer, girls may wear a dark blue gingham summer dress Logo Jumpers and school ties must be purchased from Brigade Schoolwear. In order to keep our uniform as affordable as possible, you may purchase all other items from your preferred supermarket / retailer. Pre-loved uniform can also be purchased at a reduced cost from the PTA.	All children are required to change into appropriate clothing before commencing a PE lesson. Appropriate clothing includes: Plain white T-shirt Plain black shorts, leggings, tracksuit trousers Trainers for outdoor lessons. Preferably plain black Plain black non-hooded sweatshirt for colder weather For swimming boys should wear swimming trunks and girls a one piece swimming costume or a long sleeved costume and leggings. Girls who wear headscarves may wear these for PE but they must be secured so there are no loose edges for gymnastics lessons. Watches, rings, chains, bracelets and earrings must be removed before the start of the lesson. If it is not possible to remove an ear stud then it must be covered by tape. Long hair needs to be tied back for all lessons, including swimming. *Please do not send in hooded tops for safety reasons*

Lost property

Unnamed items found in school will be taken to lost property in the office, however we do not have the capacity to store large amounts. We hold regular lost property events for parents to claim unnamed items, however should items remain unclaimed by the end of each half term, they will be resold at a discount price at the next available event.
